Beginning in the Los Angeles area, Virginia Robinson Gardens offers a glimpse into old-school Beverly Hills botanical luxury. The nearby Greystone Mansion & Gardens offers classy, formal gardens with amazing city views and completely free admission. Aside from a $10-15 parking fee, The Getty Center is also free and offers art museums, stunning architecture, and colorful, artistic gardens with scenic views.
Further north, Santa Barbara is home to the renown legendary Lotusland a quirky garden masterpiece on a grand scale. San Diego is home to the notable gardens and architecture of the famous Balboa Park.
